Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) was established in the year 1998. It is one of the largest and best technological Universities in Karnataka. According to the report of Deccan Herald, Vice-chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University Prof. Karisiddappa, it is a 4 years B.Sc Honours course that comes with an exit option as per the NEP (National Education Policy) Guidelines. The VTU has already identified 66 Affiliated colleges, both Private colleges and Government colleges based on the facilities and availability of faculties to offer B.Sc courses in the colleges. This proposal of offering B.Sc courses is placed before the State Govt for approval.

From now, the admission for the B.Sc courses is based on the KCET 2021 ranks. VTU has requested KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) to initiate the admission based on the KCET ranks. The 1st priority will be given to students who appeared for KCET and then in case of any vacant seats Non-KCET students will be considered.
Visvesvaraya Technological University finalized and shortlisted the 66 colleges based on the infrastructure facilities and other things to offer the course. With this Initiative measure, the Engineering colleges will become multi-disciplinary and the students who take B.Sc courses at these colleges can study courses like Computer Science (C.Sc) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as open electives. And also, the intake capacity of each of these colleges will be 60, and approval certificates or other documents will be provided by Visvesvaraya Technological University as an Allied Health Sciences Degree.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test generally known as KCET and is controlled by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority). KCET is conducted only for the students who are from Karnataka. If you are a student from another state and want to take admission in Karnataka private colleges you can attend the COMEDK exam. KCET is a state-level examination and it is conducted for the purpose of providing admission for the eligible candidates to Different Professional Undergraduate courses like engineering, Pharmacy (B.Pharma, D.Pharma), Agriculture, and Veterinary Courses. Students who passed class 12th or PUC can attend the KCET exam. Students who desire to take admission in the Medical or dental fields must attend and qualify NEET exam.
Application form filling was online mode and Examination was conducted through offline mode i.e., Pen and Paper-based. It is conducted on the basis of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. The syllabus for KCET is based on higher secondary portions. The Questions are objective / MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions) and carry one mark each.

National Institutional Ranking Framework released the top-ranking medical college across India on 9th September 2021 by Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

Physiotherapists are licensed and qualified professionals who are highly trained, knowledgeable, technical, and skilled people who provide Physiotherapy. They examine, assess, interpret, plan, diagnose and implement rehabilitative programs that develop, improve, maintain and restore movement ability, manage acute and chronic conditions, relieve pain, and treat physical challenges associated with injuries or other impairments using ultrasound, laser, physical activities, heating, mobilization, and other techniques. Also, educate the patients to prevent re-occurrence of an injury.
BPT - Bachelor of Physiotherapy
BPT is an Undergraduate program where students are awarded a bachelor’s degree certificate in Physiotherapy from a recognized college affiliated to the University conducting a full-time course of 4 years and an internship of 6 months. After graduating with Bachelor’s degree, they can also do post-graduation programs i.e., Master of Physiotherapy (MPT).
BPT- Year I
Students deal with the basic human biosciences and the foundation of the human system and function. They learn to apply the knowledge of physics to the human body to understand the movements and modalities of the respective subjects.
BPT- Year II
Deals with developing Physiotherapy skills and exploring further subjects like Pathology, Pharmacology, and microbiology. They will study about normal and abnormal human minds and behavior. Students acquire the skills required for effective communication and practice with the patients and caretakers. They even acquire knowledge in the subject of Kinesiotherapy and Electrotherapeutics.
BPT- Year III
The students deal with the learning of all the clinical subjects and apply their knowledge in to practice. They will learn and practice skills like Electrodiagnosis on patients and various specialised manual techniques and therapy on the models.
BPT- Year IV
Students will recall all the knowledge and skills of the previous years and evaluate, plan and execute the various subject’s techniques in Community and Hospital Physiotherapy. They deal with the aids and appliances used for the treatment.
Students learn professional ethics and code of conduct as well as legal aspects and moral values. They acquire research methodology and apply in their project work.
Internship
This is 6 months of continuous clinical practice to enhance and upgrade the skills of the students acquired throughout the academic years. The student should have passed the final year exam in all subjects to be eligible for Internship. Internships should be done in the recognized universities teaching hospitals.
Eligibility of BPT
Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent qualification from a recognized university. The candidate should have pursued science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects.
A minimum aggregate score of 50% or equivalent CGPA at the 10+2 level (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

MPT – Master of Physiotherapy
MPT is a postgraduate program, it is a high-level program training given to the students who completed and passed all the subjects in BPT from a recognized institute affiliated with the university. The duration of the course is 2 years. MPT course provides professional and specialized perception into both the clinical practice and the case studies in the field of physiotherapy. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
MNR Medical College Counselling for MBBS (NEET-UG) and Post graduate Courses (NEET-PG) in Telangana will be conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) Warangal. Under KNRUHS, Counselling procedure is divided into Convener quota-CQ (Govt.) and Management Quota(MQ1 & MQ2). Domicile(Local) students of Telangana Qualified in NEET-UG and NEET-PG are eligible to participate in the counselling process for which a separate notification is published. For Convener Quota in Telangana, KNRUHS conducts 3 or 4 rounds of counselling followed by Mop Up round. If required, Extended Mop-Up Round Counselling will be done.
Students from all India and Telangana are eligible to participate in the Management Quota Seats for which a separate notification is published. For Management Quota KNRUHS conducts Two Rounds of Counselling followed by Mop Up Round. If required, an Extended Mop Up Round Counselling follows.
