NTA Extends Final Opportunity to Update Bank Details for NEET UG 2026 Fee Refund

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a public notice providing a final opportunity for NEET UG 2026 candidates to confirm, correct, or update their bank account details to receive the examination fee refund. This decision has been taken to ensure that all eligible candidates receive their refund without any inconvenience.

Why is NTA Refunding the NEET UG 2026 Examination Fee?

The NEET UG 2026 examination, which was conducted on 3 May 2026, was cancelled. As a result, the NTA announced that the examination fee paid by all candidates would be refunded directly to their bank accounts.

Earlier, candidates were asked to submit their bank account details through the official NTA portal. However, many candidates entered incorrect bank account numbers or IFSC codes, which could delay the refund process.

To address these issues, NTA reopened the correction window on 25 June 2026 and has now extended it once again as the final opportunity.

Last Date to Update Bank Details

Candidates can now view, confirm, correct, or update their bank account details until 7 July 2026 (11:50 PM).
This is the final extension, and candidates are advised not to wait until the last moment.

How to Update Your Bank Account Details

Candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official NEET UG 2026 registration portal.
  2. Log in using your credentials and complete the two-factor authentication.
  3. Click on “Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation.”
  4. Verify or update your:
    Bank Account Number
    IFSC Code
    Account Holder’s Name (if applicable)
  5. Submit the details carefully.
  6. Candidates may also upload a cancelled cheque (optional but recommended) to ensure the bank details are accurate.

Once the bank details are submitted after successful authentication, they will be treated as final.

Why You Should Update Your Details Immediately

Incorrect bank information can result in:

  • Delay in receiving the refund
  • Failed bank transactions
  • Additional verification requirements

Candidates who have already submitted the correct details can log in once to verify their information and ensure everything is accurate.

Final Advisory

The NTA has clearly stated that this is the last chance for candidates to update their bank account details for the NEET UG 2026 examination fee refund. All eligible candidates should complete the process before 7 July 2026, 11:50 PM, to avoid missing their refund.
If you are a NEET UG 2026 candidate, log in to the official NTA portal today, verify your bank details, and complete the confirmation process well before the deadline.
