Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Telangana, Warangal has issued an important notice for students planning to participate in MBBS/BDS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27. As per the notice, KNRUHS will shortly invite online applications from UG NEET-2026 qualified candidates for MBBS and BDS counselling under the Competent Authority Quota.
Why this notice is important for students
The main purpose of this notice is to help students prepare their documents in advance before the official online application starts. KNRUHS has clearly advised eligible candidates to keep all required original certificates scanned and ready, so that they can upload them immediately after the admission notification is released.
Many students face problems during counselling because of unclear scans, wrong certificates, missing study certificates, expired EWS certificates or category mismatch. Preparing documents early can help avoid last-minute upload errors and verification issues.

Provisional list of documents required for Competent Authority Quota
Students applying for Telangana MBBS/BDS Competent Authority Quota should keep the following documents ready:

✅ Birth Certificate / SSC / 10th Class Marks Memo
✅ Intermediate / 10+2 Marks Memo or equivalent certificate
✅ Study Certificates from 9th and 10th
✅ Intermediate or equivalent 2 years study certificates
✅ Transfer Certificate
✅ Community Certificate, if applicable
✅ Minority Certificate, if applicable
✅ EWS Certificate, if applicable
✅ PwBD documents, if applicable
✅ NCC Certificate, if applicable

✅ Parent employment certificate for study outside Telangana, if applicable
Important rule for Community Certificate
For Telangana State Quota admissions, community certificates issued through online mode by the Mandal Revenue Officer or competent authority of the Government of Telangana will only be considered.
For BC candidates, only BC-A / BC-B / BC-C / BC-D / BC-E certificates should be uploaded. OBC certificate will not be considered for State Quota.
For Scheduled Caste candidates, the caste certificate must clearly mention the sub-group such as SC Group-I, SC Group-II or SC Group-III. A community certificate without SC sub-group will not be accepted.
EWS Certificate requirement
EWS candidates must submit an Income and Asset Certificate valid for 2026-27, related to financial year 2025-26, issued by the Tahsildar on or after 01.04.2026. This is applicable only to candidates who are not covered under SC, ST and BC categories.
PwBD candidates: Important update
PwBD candidates must submit a valid UDID card issued by the designated medical authority under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. They must also submit a self-certified affidavit as per Schedule-I of the NMC Interim Guidelines dated 19.07.2025 and report to the designated medical board for verification.
The NMC guidelines focus more on functional ability instead of only percentage-based disability assessment. This means the candidate’s ability to perform essential academic and clinical tasks will be assessed by the designated medical board.
Telangana local candidate rules
As per G.O.Ms.No.150 dated 08.09.2025, Telangana local candidate rules will be followed for MBBS/BDS admissions under Competent Authority Quota. Candidates who studied in Telangana for the prescribed period or fulfil the applicable residence or service-related conditions may be considered under local rules.
Certain candidates who studied outside Telangana due to parents’ service may also be considered local candidates, subject to proper employment certificate from the competent authority.
Seat distribution in Telangana private medical colleges
For Telangana private medical colleges, the broad seat division is:
✅ 50% Government / Convenor Quota
✅ 35% Management Quota
✅ 15% NRI Quota
Within the 35% Management Quota:
✅ 85% seats are reserved for local candidates
✅ 15% seats are available for non-local candidates
NRI Quota is open to eligible candidates from all states, subject to proper documentation and eligibility.
Important note for students
Students should not wait until the last day to arrange documents. Wrong or incomplete documents can create problems during online application and certificate verification.
