Mistakes Students Must Avoid

1. Waiting Until the Last Day

Do not wait until May 21 night. Server issues, login problems, internet failure, or OTP delays may create unnecessary panic.

2. Selecting a City Without Travel Planning

Choose a city where you can realistically reach before exam day. Check travel distance, accommodation, transport, and reporting time.

3. Updating Address Incorrectly

Your present address should be accurate and match your current stay location. Avoid spelling mistakes, wrong pin code, or incomplete address.

4. Assuming All Details Can Be Edited

NTA is allowing only present address and exam city preference changes. Other details will remain unchanged.

5. Not Saving Proof After Submission

After updating details, take a screenshot or printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

6. Ignoring Official Website Updates

City intimation slip and admit card details will be announced later on the official website. Students should check only NTA/NEET official updates.

Who Should Use This Facility?

Students should update their city preference if:

  • They have moved to another city after the first exam.
  • They are staying away from their original exam city.
  • Their travel to the old centre is difficult.
  • They want to select a centre closer to their current address.
  • Their present address has changed after registration.

If the existing city preference is suitable, no action is required. NTA will retain the earlier city choice.

Final Advice for Students

The NEET UG 2026 re-exam is an important second opportunity. Students should complete city correction calmly, avoid mistakes, and focus on revision.

Use this window only if needed, but complete it before the deadline.
