Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences established in 2001 under the Prathima Educational Society , committed towards Health and Education . The college is recognized by Govt. of India and the National Medical Council (NMC)  and is affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal.

PIMS COLLEGE

Medical College and the hospital is located 6 km on the outskirts of the city of Karimnagar amidst green field in a vast campus of 35 acres on the state highway 7 and about 172 Km from Hyderabad city well connected by road and rail.

PIMS initially started with 150 MBBS admissions annually in 2001. In the year 2015, the Medical Council of India Permitted the College to increase its capacity to 200 students annually for MBBS. Presently the PIMS college is conducting Postgraduate Courses in 19 departments. The College campus contains Lecture Halls, Multi storied Faculty Block, Administrative Block, 1000 seater well-furnished Auditorium, Massive Library ,Examination Hall, Facilities for Indoor & Outdoor games, Advanced Gym and Residential facilities: Separate Hostel blocks are available for Boys and Girls with mess facility. There is a Hygenic and well maintained cafeteria for Staff,Students and Visitors.

PIMS delivers excellent patient and family-focused care in a state-of-the-art hospital facility. PIMS hospital is a tertiary-care, referral, and teaching hospital that provides ethical and professional clinical care and treatment across all specialties ably supported by diagnostics services that include laboratory-based, imaging, and international facilities that remain affordable and accessible. PIMS facilities provide emergency, outpatient, inpatient, day-care, community outreach, through a 1140 bedded facility and with over approximately 500+ dedicated competent and service-oriented staff. To improve the health of the medically underserved community in rural as well as urban areas. The Hospital receives patients from across the 9 surrounding districts .

PIMS equipped with Ventilators, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and other point-of-care testing equipment ( POCT); Ultrasound-Ray unit, MRI Machine, ABG, round-the-clock Radiology, Pharmacy, Blood bank, central diagnostic Lab, and ambulance services. .OPD and causality with independent departments of Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Paediatrics, ENT, Dermatology, and Radiology. PIMS hospital is supported by the in house Parthima College of Nursing.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, Counselling for MBBS (NEET-UG) and Post graduate Courses (NEET-PG) in Telangana will be conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) Warangal. Under KNRUHS, Counselling procedure is divided into Convener quota-CQ (Govt.) and Management Quota(MQ1 & MQ2)Domicile(Local) students of Telangana Qualified in NEET-UG and NEET-PG are eligible to participate in the counselling process for which a separate notification is published. For Convener Quota in Telangana, KNRUHS conducts 3 or 4 rounds of counselling followed by Mop Up round. If required, Extended Mop-Up Round Counselling will be done.

Students from all India and Telangana are eligible to participate in the Management Quota Seats for which a separate notification is published. For Management Quota KNRUHS conducts Two Rounds of Counselling followed by Mop Up Round. If required, an Extended Mop Up Round Counselling follows.
